"Watching you Walk Away"

I don’t want to give up on what we had so I’m still holding on Even though you made it clear that your love for me is gone I sit here still watching you walk away, wishing you could turn around And tell me that you love me so I can stop feeling so down My eyes are filled with tears with so many memories running through my head You made a promise to me, “Don’t you remember what you said?” I thought you never wanted to lose me, was that just a lie You said you had unconditional love, I wish it was true so I wouldn’t have to cry It’s so hard to watch you leave and let our love die

Standing here with tears falling down like drops of rain My heart begins to feel this unbelievable sharp pain As I watch the love of my life walk away I fall to my knees and begin to pray Hoping you will change your mind and decide to stay I sit here thinking about you Wondering if your love was ever true So confused, not knowing what to do I just have to ask, “Don’t you love me too?” I sit here barely breathing with a broken heart I don’t understand why you’re letting our love fall apart I don’t want to let you go Is there anything I can say or do? I still want to continue to let our love grow

Don’t go my love, please don’t say goodbye I can’t stop thinking about those days we shared I can’t bare the pain watching you leave so I put my head down and I just wish you cared I sit here crying because you are no longer by my side These emotions can’t be bottled up nor can they hide I feel lost, confused and alone I’m trying to be strong and just move on But how can I do that when it hurts so much to know our love is gone I look up, wipe my tears, and notice you’re nowhere to be found Hopefully one day you will turn around And realize my love for you was true But for now I’ll be missing you -Sherilyn Skeet
